hello hovatek forum members!

i have been trying to build a twrp for a unisoc T606 device called "FreeYond M5A" by myself for almost a week now, but its all not going correctly.

the builds succeed in the GitHub action, but when flashing i get an instant softbrick rebooting to recovery. and when i unpack the vendor_boot.img with AIK, i get 3 or 4 "ramdisk" folders (ramdisk, ramdisk00, ramdisk01,ramdisk02) my stock vendor_boot only has one, so something is wrong here. i also tried to sign each image with the public key that vbmeta-sign checks for but no luck. here is my tree. I used twrpdtgen and edited stuff with the help of AI, but it still didn't work (https://github.com/kyros70/android_devic...e_M5A_TWRP)

i am a beginner at this and would like to get some help or advice.

i have the stock firmware of the device as a .pac (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Zym11ju...sp=sharing)

note : i tried the online builder, bootloop. and Hovatek did give me a TWRP via telegram (thanks Hovatek) and it works but it has bugs, i wanna do this by myself to maybe fix bugs or have some skill in building recoveries

Your main challenge is signing the vendor_boot. Try sign the stock vendor_boot then flash it and observe if it enters stock recovery mode or you get a bootloop

I unpacked, repacked it and signed it with public key that I extracted from it earlier and it still boots normally, vbmeta checks for only sha1. I used that same key to sign my broken builds.

I just tried again with the automatic builder with flags this time and patch.zip too, it failed.

Leave TWRP aside for now.
I asked you to sign your stock vendor_boot.img the way you signed the TWRP and flash then see if the device accepts it (i.e boots up fine)

Hey, I already replied above. It did boot after I signed it.
