Hello everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me recover my Infinix Hot 40i X6528.

Device Information
Model: Infinix Hot 40i (X6528)
Chipset: Unisoc T606
Original firmware build: V1996

Firmware used:

X6528-F069TUVWXYBdBeBfBpCrDmDnDpEaEbEc-T-OP-250917V1996.pac
Firmware source: NeedROM
What I was trying to do

I wanted to install a GSI (Evolution X).

Before that, I unlocked the bootloader using the BootROM/CVE-2022-38694 method.

Because the phone doesn't support fastboot after unlocking (or I couldn't access fastboot), I attempted to flash the required images through SPD tools instead.

Images I attempted to flash

I attempted various combinations including:

vbmeta
super.img
system (when available)
other individual partitions through ResearchDownload

I also tried:

Flashing only selected partitions
Repartition ON
Repartition OFF
Enabling/disabling super.img
Different flashing selections to restore stock firmware
Current State

The phone no longer boots normally.

It does not enter fastboot.

The PC still detects it in Unisoc download mode.

Flashing Attempts

I've tried:

ResearchDownload R21
ResearchDownload R27
UpgradeDownload
Different USB ports
Different USB cables
Repartition enabled and disabled
Flashing the complete PAC
Flashing selected partitions only

FDL1 and FDL2 always load successfully.

The failure always happens after FDL2 during storage initialization or partition checking.

Errors

Most common errors are:

[UB1254]
Software has not supported this feature
[UnSupportOperation:ExecNandInit]

and

DL1150
Incompatible partition

Sometimes vbmeta also fails with:

Incompatible partition
My Questions
Does the X6528 require an authorized Carlcare/Transsion loader or authenticated FDL2?
Is this an authentication/security issue rather than a bad PAC?
Has anyone successfully recovered an X6528 after attempting a GSI?
Is there a compatible signed FDL2 or another flashing method that works?
Could this still be a partition mismatch, or does UB1254 specifically indicate a protected storage initialization failure?

I can provide:

Complete ResearchDownload logs
Error screenshots
PAC file information
Any additional information needed

Thank you for any help.
