My phone's battery was getting swollen, I saw a video on YouTube in the video the guy punctured the battery then pressed it down and it became flat again, I tried on my battery It worked but sometimes the phones screen will be flickering and then it will suddenly power off.
My phone is a Tecno y2.Please help me.

have you tried using a replacement battery?

In my opinion. you're doing a dangerous thing. It's not recommended using a swollen battery. gas inside the battery is flammable and also toxic.

I am already planning to get a new battery,
but I am not sure if even after getting the new battery the phone will stop going off.
