UNLOCK HUAWEI V5 ROUTER B612S-25 [ MTN TURBO-NET] [2019]

The new router released by Huawei and Carrier in my section MTN GH and hopefully similar in other African Countries is aV5 security device.

Pay Attention to New Security Update!!!

Some variances of this router has secureboot/ with efuse enabled; secureboot 0 and possibly 1 versions of this Router has been released. Following this method is likely not possible and very risky for secureboot 1 version which may need signed bootloaders for unlock and other operations.

Things You shouldnt Ask
1. About whether the device is secureboot 0 or 1 or secureboot enabled and for that matter may not work

2. How to Connect Test point

NB: You should be somebody with experience in B310/B315 unlocking via TP

NB 2:
USB pinout and boot pin should be found in attachment area

WARNING!!!!

Following droid is however a choice to make and do not proceed if you dont understand!!!

STEPS

1. Download dmt Folder or archive" ; it contains the needed ROM and Loaders needed
++++++

2. Solder USB pinout and connect in TP mode as seen as done in B310/B315; Huawei PC UI COM port detected

3. +++++

A. Device is switched dload and ready for firmware flash; Some secureboot devices of this variance may not allow this loader and therefore signed loader for such secureboot

B. Huawei Ports showned

++++++

4. +++

B. Run Huawei V2 flasher; Netframe work is needed for these flashers to work

C. Indicate port of PC UI e.g. COM14

++++++

+++++++ we have done this in B310 many times or use different flash for this firmware flash

++++++

5. A . Depending on PC speed; it should be done in about 5-10mins; disconnect soldered usb cable and power adaptor

B. Insert any sim of choice and power Device; connect RJ45 LAN cable and login;

Unlocking Now

NB: TO use this method of Unlock

1. Firmware should be modified such that Telnet and adb access is granted by device through the firmware

2. Flashing a general block firmware leads to zero work done

3. Flash a firmware modified M AT. firmwares preferrably

C. ++++++; Unlock is done; press any key to reboot router

++++++

6. Router rebooted with Vodafone Ghana 3g working

I noticed my modified firmware version (software) was very low 192.x as compared to device firmware from factory 197.x

so i did flash an update firmware to 196 that is after the unlock was successfully done

Device Updated to 196.xx.xx.xx

Device unlocked and working perfect; no nvram was killed because usbsafer was used and device security allow successful firmware downgrade without any problems!!!

All Done by TEAM dmt

Credit to Developers

Rust30**

Thanks to INJ NHYIRA for Device , Test Unlock and Guide
