Since no custom recovery needed, then the stock recovery will remain intact. Will this be of a help in OTA updates while the phone is rooted?

To perform a successful OTA update, you need more than just stock recovery. You need stock boot to unrooting and stock system to undo any changes you made to /system

So keep your stock boot.img and system.img handy

So i want to try to root my Mito A17 with Android Nougat
But there is a problem on the boot patching process
I have installed the latest Magisk Manager
Following your guide i go to Install > Install > Patch Boot Image > Find the boot.img
after this step Magisk Manager didnt do anything
it doesnt download anything
re-doing the step doesnt do anything either

When I click on "patch boot image" it doesn't bring up any dialog box but instead tells me to "Select boot image in img or img.tar format"
