I bought a Tecno F1 phone 2 days ago and I wanted extract my boot.img to root it with magisk but found out that Tecno F1 was amoung the phones u flash or read with a custom DA.

I just want to know if there is a way I can backup my phone's rom without a box dongle. And if it's not possible, is there a way I can get a boot.img for Tecno F1 running Oreo 8.1.0.

you can backup firmware using wwr_mtk guide at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21970.html
ensure to download custom DA for your model at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-23243.html , you must add the custom DA into SP flash tool before attempting to perform readbacks

The problem I have is that wwr mtk v2.30(stable version) doesn't have MT6580M but it has MT6580. I downloaded Droid info and it told me my chipset was MT6580M.
I added Mt6580M  to the wwr mtk chipset list but it created an empty txt file instead of an actual temporary scatter file

I want to know if MT6580 and MT6580M are the same. Can I use MT6580 in place of MT6580M?

Just use MT6580

I just did a successful ROM backup with mt6580. Then I decided to test the ROM by flashing the recovery of the ROM I just backed up and an error message popped up.

check the screenshot.
