Good to have you here. Most people have been creating themed ROMs. The plan here is to get in the mud with sources and produce actual upgrades (not themed ROMs).

All attempts to get the source codes for Tecno devices from Tecno have failed. Been at it for months and dont mean to sound pessimistic but we dont see these sources coming around anytime soon. That kind'a knocks out building from source at the moment
This makes porting our next option.
1. What Kitkat ROM(s) will we be porting to Jellybean Tecno phones
2. Which Tecno (or other MTK) phones will we be working on?
3. What tweaks are we looking to integrate (drop your ideas so we have a list). Here are some requests @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-299.html

i think for this project to kick off, we need to finish with project jericho, as that is the core of rom porting, i have all sources ready for my chipset,from lg g pro lite and micromax a110.they will need a lot of work.i can also extract the initramfs from my kernel zimage, and have found my driver model names.if you need data from a tecno q1, just ask.
