Unlocking it would've been a piece of cake if you still had an unlock attempt left. Anyway, what you need to do it upgrade the firmware so you can have 10 unlock attempts again. Its new algo so you'll need to use a new algo calculator to get the unlock code

how do i upgrade? i have actually downloaded the zip firmware(E1732Update_11.126.16.00.00.B416.zip) uploaded here, but dont know how to upgrade it. As, when i click on upgrade version on the modem interface on my system it automatically takes me to Airtel website. So i cant upgrade with the downloaded firmware. At airtel website i clicked on Home > Personal > Devices > Huawei
And here was what i found.
Huawei Ascend Mate
Huawei Ascend P6
Huawei Ascend W1
Huawei T156 Bundle
Huawei Y220
Huawei Y320
No E173u-2 to select. I dont know how to locate the firmware.

There should be an upgrade option at the modem's interface on your PC. else, google for a firmware upgrade .zip for the modem model

the error in the message means the firmware isn't compatible with your modem

So what do I do now. That was the second firmware Ive downloaded and both though of different versions are all saying same thing. I even tried to reset the number of attempts back to 10 using DC Unlocker version 5.7 as posted by Yomiprof.com still that wouldn't work. Can you help with the link to any firmware that worked so I can downgrade it. Or is there another method to reset the attempts?
