If you get an error saying a file/folder name (or file path) is too long for recycle bin or that Windows cannot rename the file/folder because its name is too long then you can bypass this restriction using 7zip .

  1. Download 7zip
  2. Install it and launch the 7-zip file manager
  3. Navigate to the folder / file in the file manager
  4. Rename or delete it (whichever you were trying to do)
  5. If prompted if you're sure you want to proceed, click Yes
