I have been trying to unlock bootloader using MTKclient. Unfortunately, the process always ends with the message "DA_handler - [LIB]: Unknown seccfg partition header. Aborting unlock."

First of all, I would like to thank for feedback.
In fact, when use newest version (MKTClient-GUI 2.0) that message no longer appears. However, even when 100% of the process is indicated, device remains  lock.
Would formatting  with SPFTools have affected the  secro partition (PMT)?

There's no reason to format anything in SP flash tool

Formatting happened when flashing, by SP tools, the currently installed ROM. Among the 3 flashing options offered, I thought "Format all + Download" would be the most appropriate.

I'm confused. Is the phone bricked?

No.
Device was bricked, with Android O, but I used SP Flash tools to unbrick it by installing stock rom (M 13.0.1.33) successfully. Then, updates from M for N and N for O, all through stock recovery.
Due to performance, I chose to downgrade to M, which I did using SP Fash tools, directly from O to M. Problems arose in NVRAM (lost IMEI/SN)
Now I want root to facilitate repairs but I can't unlock the bootloader.
