If he backs up NVRAM & NVData from a working phone wouldn't he then have the IMEI from that phone? Then he would need to change the IMEI back to his original, but how?
I also need to repair IMEI on a phone with MTK6833 and I'm getting the same error with Modem Meta... The phone I have it REVVL 6 Pro 5G (Tmobile)
It's getting to a situation by which you are going to have to use test point, you can browse online for your device test point.
NOTE: It's hard to find for modern devices, but if you are lucky enough a simple Google search will get what you want.
