it partially extracts the dz from the kdz and it doesn't extract the files from the dz, it only shows the content (v1.2.5.0 & v1.2.6.1)
is there a better alternative that gets the job completely?

Old info really:

This LG firmware extract tool doesn't work with "newer" firmware - that are actually quite old by now.
Zstandard, it doesn't support it. That is the main reason. Also there is some minor differences in some kdz
files why these programs / python scripts sometimes fail. (Same reason why this one also fails with some old tot files too...)

Well, I have mine for windows, which I probably will never release...

At the moment it extracts these newer ones without problems.
That might change though...

And there is these python scripts based on this kdztools, but I haven't tried them much.
Got just some failures, so I didn't waste my time on them ...
