I tried rooting my device with magisk both by patching and flashing the .zip in TWRP but after reboot it says "magisk not installed"
I guess it has something to do with Android pie boot.img not having ba ramdisk which magisk usually patches to grant root.
Any root solution for pie devices?

use the technique as explained @ https://www.hovatek.com/blog/how-to-gain...rk-go-kc1/
but ensure to use stock recovery.img for your device and not that of kc1
