Hello, I will try and give details and while shorting it.
A friend's gionee S6s with around 80% battery suddenly shutoff in his pocket and after unsuccessful tries to power it on, the phone remains dead. When I checked it the 1st thing I did was to check the battery unfortunately it reads 3.1v on my digital Meter so I boost it to around 3.81v. with that I tried powering it but the phone still remain dead. So I removed the board and reworked it and it did power on, booted normally. So I charged it. My friend came and saw the phone working so while using the phone, it reboots and continue rebooting then I entered recovery mode to hard reset it which after it still reboots so I switched it off using recovery. After a while I powered it and it booted to dextop. So we decided to upgrade it to android 7.0 after downloading the firmware, I flashed it and booted normally. After going tru the phone checking the settings, I connected it to hotspot then checked for OTA Update. As I click the update option, the phone freezes and reboots and continue rebooting. I had to power off using recovery. So I tried the reset option again but to no avail. So I downloaded another higher 7.0 and flashed and as I am typing, it is still rebooting. To make maters worse, even the recovery mode will freezes then restarts. I tried power + down to locate safe mode but it too freezes and reboots. Sometimes it boots normal and displays this message after boot 'An exception occurred during phone reboot. We recommend that you send an error report to help us solve the problem'
The phone still reboots as I disconnect the battery from the board. Anyone ever experienced this problem?

In respect to this post, I tried heating it and to my surprise the phone starts normally, no rebooting but I observed when ever I switched on the data, and used it for some days, it reverts back to its usual problem. I tried it four times presently and the same issue. To the extent I nearly heat fried the board. Presently it's working and I'm about to try using it with data on and see the outcome.
