does your phone have baseband?

try flashing the stock backup made from your friend's phone and lets see what happens.
BTW, is it that it doesnt detect SIM or it doesnt detect network. which?

(01-05-2015, 12:28 PM)daddyclems It doesn't detect sim at all, it tells me to insert sim, I did a format now before hitting d download button, the Imei displayed wen I dialed *#06# but still it didn't detect sim, a WiFi network popped up with this error msg "invalid NVRAM' so I rebooted d phone, when it came up again it showed invalid imei..
hmm..
