Region lock is different from SIM lock. For SIM lock, you either buy an unlock code online or try a box like Z3X Box

So this one is simlock u say? Because i can access my simcard menu , phonebook without any problem. The only problem is the network. And in settings under sim card lock, there is a pincode i have to insert inorder to access network.. So is that the same simlock we know?

Maybe you should upload a screenshot of the screen where you are asked to type in the password.

sim pin lock is a different kind of lock used to protect your sim from anyone who tries to use it on a different phone. it has nothing to do with the phone.
if you know the sim puk number then you can reset the pin if not then contact your network provider [you'll have to provide certain info about the sim so they will verify you are the real owner]

Do you still get this with
1. Another SIM in the phone
2. The SIM in another phone
