to use SPft, you'll need the scatter file from the official firmware (seeing as its not available, then you'll have to stick with the alternative i.e miracle box)

flashing certain partitions with miracle box requires that you include preloader while flashing. so yes, you must flash with preloader else you'll run into an error

the latest version should do fine but instead you can root using magisk at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21427.html

Yes, but don't forget to include your preloader.bin
