The Tecno N8 (N8-H356-C1-M-HiOS-TZ-TIGO) is an MT6580 powered Android phone with 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM running on Android 6 (Marshmallow).

How do I root a Tecno N8?

Unlock the Bootloader of the Tecno N8 following the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-15431.html
Download TWRP for Tecno N8 ported by Team Hovatek at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4S-Z72...ROM00/view
Extract and copy the TWRP recovery.img into the same folder as the fastboot.exe and adb.exe
Download SuperSU 2.76.zip at https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B_-waNKLv...t=download
Copy SuperSU.zip to both the phone’s SD card and internal storage
Boot the phone into Fastboot (as instructed in the Bootloader unlock guide)
When the phone enters Fastboot, flash the TWRP recovery image to the phone by typing the command below then pressing Enter

Code:

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Once recovery is flashed in Fastboot, hold the Volume up + Power button and don’t release till the phone reboots into Recovery mode
In TWRP, if you get a prompt asking you to swipe to allow modification of the System partition, tap KEEP READ ONLY
If TWRP offers to root the phone, select NO
In TWRP recovery, tap Install
Navigate to the location of the SuperSU2.76.zip and select it
Swipe to confirm flashing of SuperSU.zip and wait till flashing is complete
Reboot the phone normally
Confirm Root by installing and running Root Checker @ https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...heck&hl=en

awesome! root prosess is very smooth! i rooted my tecno N8 Successful by following those procedure above! team hovatek rocks

does this work on the vodafone tecno n8? and my vodafone tecno N8 is boot dead after flashing the te cno stock rom is there a way I can get a repair preloader.
