This quick guide is for those whose Android phones have been causing them to spend a lot on data. Let's get started.
1. Go to Settings > Location Access and untick both 'Access to my location' and 'WIFI and mobile network location'.
2. Go to Settings > Backup & Reset . Untick 'Backup my data'.
3. Go to Settings > Data Usage > Select the tab (at the top) for the SIM you're browsing with > You'll see a list of apps and how much megabytes they've consumed over a given time frame. select an app, scroll down then tick 'Restrict background data'.

Implement these three steps and you'll see a significant drop in your megabyte consumption.

* Note:
For method 3, Avoid restricting background data for BBM, Whatsapp or any app you want to have steady access to internet. You best restrict for Googleplay, browsers and other apps or games which the list shows to be consuming your megabytes.
