Howzit guys
Got home last nite pc goes on
Gpu fan starts up on full rpm
No post ,remove gpu
Pc works ,is my gpu dead i have not used it for a whole day and now suddenly this.The onboard graphics works fine and i was using a dvi to vga adapter with the card.
Please help it is a 2nd hand card and i only have it 2 month's. Gpu is Sapphire HD 6950 1gb ddr5 256bit.

Its really difficult understanding what you just wrote can you explain further or probably in simpler terms

try
* cleaning out dust from the adapter slot if its clouded with dust
* testing the card on another slot if there are more adapter slots
* testing the card on another PC

Pc not booting,even to bios but when i removethe gpu the pc works .When i boot up the pc with the gpu its fans start running at ful speed as if im overclocking.

did you try above suggestions i gave?
it would help verify if the card is now faulty
