You don't need to uninstall Magisk. But to uninstall Magisk, follow this instruction @Uninstallation as follow:

Please keep in mind that too big GSI image file may not fit into your device's /system partition.
Try flashing GSI with no GAPPS first. This type of ROMs is smallest in size that should fit your phone.
If your phone can boot up, then try the ROM with GAPPS.

I also have my stock firmware as you mentioned.
I have already flashed magisk via recovery, do I need to uninstall it before flashing the room, if yes, how do I do that ?
How about the Linage OS fan Edition, it looks beautiful too , can I flash that too ?

Thank you so much once again. I am planning to try out a custom from this week because my phone manufacturer is not giving updates, right now I am android 9.
But I just want to get as much information and guidance as possible before trying it out.
i also want to let you know that my phone is on kernel 4.4.146 , please does that affect the ROM I should choose, since the custom roms may have a different kernel.

You got it right. Kernal will come with the GSI ROMs that you flash. Your current kernal will be replaced by the new one from the GSI ROMs.
I used to flash Android 11 GSI ROM on Teclast T30 which is released as Android 9. So you can possibly flash Android 11 GSI ROM on your phone. But your phone may have too little system space for big GSI ROMs to fit in. You need to be very careful for choosing the GSI ROMs with small size. Try Vanilla version of GSI ROMs first. This type of ROM is smallest one in file size.

Pls is it better to do flash the rom with TWRP of flash tool ?

There is no different between flashing with TWRP and flash tool. fastboot adb tools by Google Android is good enough for doing this.
But flashing GAPPS will probably require TWRP since GAPPS is in .zip format. And fastboot adb tools currently cannot flash this type yet.

I need help please.
I flashed the ported Twrp successfully with adb but when I try to boot to recovery , it goes back to the stock recovery. I have already flashed the patched boot image as advised in the hovatek forum to disable dm verity
How can I fix this please
