How to use Magisk Manager & boot.img to root Android

2. Tried flashing the patch using fastboot but it caused bootloop. Flashing back to stock boot.img fixed the problem.
TL;DR: Magisk doesn't work for me. Will resort to Kingroot.
Device: Starmobile UP Max
Android Version 5.0 (Lollipop)

For sp flashtool rename to boot.img and for miracle is boot.bin. you don't have to unlock bootloader before flashing unless if you're flashing using fastboot.

Well, my device is rooted successfully, can i flash a custom recovery like twrp without bootloop or soft-brick happening?

a lot of variables could easily get your device bricked so unless you try you won't know and thats why its important to dump your firmware before making changes to your device.
