I just bought a redmi 15C.
WhatsApp worked on the phone for a few days but then started displaying the message, "You need the official WhatsApp to use this account."
I downloaded WhatsApp from the official Google Play Store and updated it, but the error persists.
I have also discovered that the phone's bootloader is unlocked and Google Play Store reports that the device is not Play Protect certified.
The phone's OS version ends in MIXM, and I have checked that the model is correct for my region.
Can you diagnose this particular problem and verify whether the firmware is official and compatible with the phone?
Can you also investigate the Google Play certification issue and advise whether the bootloader can safely be relocked?
Please let me know if it's something you can do.
I do not want the phone flashed or the bootloader relocked without first confirming that it is safe.
