Hi all guys, looking for help with a Huawei B315s-938 (Globe Philippines branded home broadband router).
Device info from the admin panel:
- Device name: B315s-938
- Hardware version: WL2B310M01
- Software version: 11.323.07.00.158
- Web UI version: 21.100.26.00.03
- IMEI: 864436031976831
The stock/ISP firmware has the Update page completely removed from the admin menu — System submenu only shows Device Information, Modify Password, Restart, System Settings, System Logs, Time Service Settings, Antenna Settings. No firmware upload option anywhere.
Goal is telnet/root access for home-lab use. I noticed other threads here for the B315s-22 reference 21.3xx-series firmware, which doesn't match my 11.323.07.00.158 software version, so I don't want to just grab that file and flash it blind.
Questions:
1. Has anyone matched firmware to this exact hardware/software combo (WL2B310M01 / 11.323.07.00.158)?
2. Is -22 firmware known safe (or known unsafe) to cross-flash onto this hardware version?
3. Is there a hidden URL that still reaches the update page even with it removed from the menu, or does this unit need the USB + usblsafe + PC flashing route?
I only have a phone (Termux) right now, no PC yet — any pointers on what's realistically possible phone-only vs. what needs a computer would help me plan. Thanks!
