Hello everyone,
I need help unlocking a Surfline 4G MiFi so it can accept a Telecel or MTN SIM (Ghana). Surfline's network has been shut down in Ghana, so I can't get an unlock code from them.
Device details:
- Model: L2000 (4G MiFi), label says M022T
- Hardware version: L02C_1_98
- Software version: L02CSurfline_M022T_NT_L02C_V001
- Admin page: 192.168.0.1 (admin/admin)
- IMEI: 866374031385760
What I see: With a Telecel SIM inserted, the Dashboard shows "PNPIN required" under Internet, and no operator info is detected. The Internet Connection page has Network Mode (currently 4G only), Preferred LTE Type (LTE FDD preferred) and Auto APN.
What I've tried: Logging into the admin page and checking the settings. I haven't flashed or used any tools yet.
My questions:
1. What is the safest way to remove the PNPIN network lock on this exact hardware/software version?
2. Which tool and firmware should I use (Marvell MiFi tool?), and is there a working guide for this version?
3. Is the unlock permanent, or does it reset after reboot?
4. Does the L2000 support the LTE bands used by Telecel and MTN in Ghana, or is it limited to Band 40 (TDD)?
