Hi everyone,

I’m trying to run a PS2 emulator on an older Windows laptop, but I’m getting random lag spikes and slow performance during gameplay even after lowering graphics settings.

I already updated DirectX and graphics drivers, but some games still stutter badly. I’m also a bit confused about which BIOS version works best for stability on Windows systems.

While searching for setup information, I found some useful BIOS-related guides here:
https://ps2biosonline.com/

Does anyone here have recommendations for the best settings for low-end Windows PCs or tips to improve emulator performance without upgrading hardware?

Thanks.
