Sometimes our phones tend to get tired of the way we treat them or get corrupted because of the files we put in them, from hanging to inability to even access files on the phone, that's why it is only wise to backup our files every now and then as the volumes of our files increase.
So if you find your self in that situation where you cant access your phone anymore don't panic it can be resolved.
METHOD 1
* Turn off your Lumia phone.
* Press and hold the Volume down and Camera key.
* Press and hold the Power key.
* When you feel the phone vibrates, release the power key, but keep pressing the volume down and camera keys, until the phone reboots.
METHOD 2
* Turn the phone off
* press and hold the volume down and connect the charger or to pc via usb for about 6-7 seconds, (Alternatively; tap the power key twice and hold volume down) an exclamation mark will show on the screen
* Then press volume up>volume down>power>volume down in the exact order
METHOD 3
* Goto settings > about phone
* press reset if there's a memory card on the phone then you should take note of the selection in order not to wipe the memory card and then tap yes to the prompts
warning: All data will be lost!
SOFT RESET NOKIA LUMIA
* The easy way to do soft reset or shutdown the NOKIA LUMIA is to open the back case and remove the battery.
* Wait about 5 seconds or more and put the battery in the right positions.
* Press POWER button to turn on the NOKIA LUMIA.
* The alternative for force shutdown or force soft reset NOKIA LUMIA without opening the back case and removing battery is using POWER button. Press and hold POWER BUTTON + VOLUME DOWN or just POWER BUTTON for several seconds until the phone shuts down by itself.
If you see ‘slide down to power of‘, do slide the icon, phone will turn off.
You will need to press Power button again to turn on again.
