(05-09-2019, 09:04 AM)ryfoz I know this procedure and would have used it if I had TWRP but this is not an MTK device and I don't know how to extract the recovery, also the TWRP porting tool doesn't work for me (I've tried different recoveries on different pc; Win 7 desktop and Win 8.1 laptop)

If I were to know how to extract the recovery, how do I specifically flash it to it's partition alone?
Does sprd us scatter.txt too?
Please enlighten me

dump firmware from the phone using a hardware box / dongle tool such as cm2spd, you'll get recovery from the dump but then again you could simply attempt to read the lock code if you had one of these dongles OR search online for the exact same firmware build then download and extract its pac firmware

SPD doesn't use scatter file
