I own an infinix x510 1gb ram version (running on android 5.1.1; build number: X510-D5110-Androidone-20151208). Lately, the camera hasn't been working with the error reply "camera has stopped". I attempted changing the camera to no avail, only for the phone to develop a new issue.

IT NOW TAKES UP TO 4 HOURS TO BOOT UP.

It's either stuck at the spinning balls boot animation, or spends hours sitting at "Android is starting".
I then felt it could be a rom issue, since it was unrooted, and looked through hovatek to get TWRP installed and flash an upgrade or a custom rom.

After setting up my windows 10 with all drivers, neither SPFT or MTKDROIDTOOLS or ADB detects my Infinix Hot 2 (but they all detect my Tecno Y2 few seconds after plugging in).

Infinix Hot 2 is now rooted.
I feel there is an issue with the ADB on the phone.
Any other way to get TWRP installed (want to attempt Flashify), or get my PC to detect my X510, please?

I have tried all ports and different cables, it still doesn't detect the X510 but detects the Tecno Y2.
Tried MTP, PTP, and Charging. Even installed the drivers from the phone when plugged in as a Built-in-CD-Rom.

Infinix hot 2 is notorious for the port fault, I think your port is bad, and should be fixed by a hardware technician.
Explain what you expect to him, because, if my guess is right, the phone charges.

It charges, and I can see it on my pc when connected as mtp or ptp, but not adb.

Can I try just flashing the twrp img with flashify?
I'm worried that if it doesn't boot, I'd be stuck.
Prolly should consider changing this board sef

If it gets detected as mtp and ptp, then you have to
1 Enable usb debugging from settings>developer options
2 Install adb drivers on your pc. https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-588.html

Done all that.
X510 still not listed when I type adb devices on cmd.
But my tecno shows up.

Post an image of what pops up on your phone screen when you connect it to your pc.

Cool, and before you go flashing stuff, take note of your build number and take a backup of your current rom(firmware).
