This is a step by step guide on how to reset your Nokia phone i.e without flashing. Resetting a phone is almost similar to flashing a phone only that you won't be loosing any files rather you'd loose every settings which includes security settings as well.

Requirements

  • Download and install Phoenix Service Suite
  • Download and install Nokia PC Suite
  • Search for and download firmware for your nokia device using the RM code e.g RM-632
  • A working USB cable
  • At least 50% charged battery

How to Reset Nokia BB5 Devices (Java and Symbian)

The steps below explain how to reset a Nokia BB5 Phone (Java & Symbian Phones ONLY)

  1. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Nokia\Phoenix\Products
  2. Create a folder inside the directory above and rename the folder to your phone's product type. E.G Nokia asha 302 should be renamed as RM-813

  3. Copy and paste all downloaded files into the newly created folder. use the picture below as reference

  4. Start Phoenix
  5. Power off the phone
  6. Connect your phone through USB Cable
  7. Click File > Open Product.
  8. Select your RM code from the window that appears. Click OK (see pic below)
     NOte: for asha 302, we'd select RM-813

  9. Click on the Flashing tab > select Firmware Update. (see pic below)

  10. Check the option “Dead Phone USB Flashing”
  11. Click the small box beside product code and select your phone's firmware (see pic below)

  12. Click SW Reset and the phone reset process should start.
  13. The process might be halted and you would be asked to remove battery etc. simply follow all the processes as seen on your PC screen
  14. Your phone should automatically startup when the reset is complete.
  15. Once completed successfully, you can safely remove your USB from the phone

Important Notice
  • The process should not be interrupted due to insufficient charge on the battery or due to disconnection of the USB cord as it may result to a totally damaged phone.
  • Ensure to use the same firmware version that's currently running on the phone. The guide assumed you have that piece of info
  • If you wish to flash your phone, then flash using either Phoenix or Infinity Best method

yes you maybe required to install .netframework on your PC
and if your Nokia 105 device doesn't have a USB port, then this procedure wont work on it.
