Hey Guys,

I have been working with the Hovatek TWRP Online Builder for a while now, and I have to admit it has aided me in learning the basics to compiling TWRP. With that being said I have ran through a lot of failed builds.

Right now I'm specifically working on compiling a twrp.img for the Google Pixel 6 Pro [Raven]. Initially I had it flashed with crDroid but for the sake of this project I reverted back to a stock Rom.

Here are my current specs:

Code:

OS version: 14,
Build: AP2A.240605.024
Bootloader: slider-14.5-11677881, VM: ART

This device stores the recovery partition within the vendor_boot.img, meaning the build compiles from both the vendor_boot.img and the boot.img.

Build Info:

Code:

Vendor_boot.img & boot.img

Android 14

Resolution: 1440x3120

Drivers: sec_touch.ko

Added Flags:

Code:

AB_OTA_UPDATER := true    TARGET_ARCH := arm64    BOARD_KERNEL_CMDLINE += dyndbg="func alloc_contig_dump_pages +p" earlycon=exynos4210,0x10A00000 console=ttySAC0,115200 androidboot.console=ttySAC0 printk.devkmsg=on cma_sysfs.experimental=Y swiotlb=noforce at24.write_timeout=100 log_buf_len=1024K bootconfig    TW_DEFAULT_LANGUAGE := en-US    TARGET_USERIMAGES_USE_EXT4 := true    TARGET_USERIMAGES_USE_F2FS := true    TW_THEME := portrait_hdpi    TW_USE_TOOLBOX := true    TW_INCLUDE_REPACKTOOLS := true    TWHAVE_SELINUX := true    TW_FRAMERATE := 120Hz    TW_MAX_BRIGHTNESS := 255    TW_DEVICE_VERSION := raven    BOARD_USES_METADATA_PARTITION := true    DEVICE_RESOLUTION := 1440x3120    TW_DEFAULT_BRIGHTNESS := 150    TW_INCLUDE_INJECTTWRP := true    TW_INCLUDE_RESETPROP := true    TW_NO_SCREEN_BLANK := true    TW_NO_SCREEN_TIMEOUT := true    TWRP_EVENT_LOGGING := true    TWRP_INCLUDE_LOGCAT := true

Workflo:

Code:

9TXQdRHzKJP7p85eOSIS

*Build Success*

Next, I used an Android Image Kitchen to unpack my twrp.img and I replaced the these offset files with the original offset files from the stock vendor_boot.img:

Code:

vendor_boot.img-tags_offset
vendor_boot.img-ramdisk_offset
vendor_boot.img-kernel_offset
vendor_boot.img-dtb_offset
vendor_boot.img-board
vendor_boot.img-base

Repacked the twrp.img, rebooted to bootloader, and I tried flashing the image directly with;

Code:

fastboot flash vendor_boot twrp_raven_vb.img

The device immediately bricked into bootloader mode unable to boot into any other system. So I reflashed the device with stock images, reset the device, and everything went back to working order.

So next I tried the classic:

Code:

fastboot boot twrp_raven_vb.img

And every time it just reboots back to bootloader mode.

I need some assistance. I was hoping that maybe you guys could take a look at the Online TWRP Builder Logcat for workflo:

Code:

9TXQdRHzKJP7p85eOSIS

And see if there are any noticeable errors. Or perhaps someone could take a look at my twrp.img and give some direction on where to look for whatever it is that's preventing a clean install?

Any help at all will be greatly appreciated!
