Hello Everyone,

I’m encountering a persistent boot loop on my Tecno POVA 6 Pro running Android 14 on the stock ROM. I’d appreciate any guidance or suggestions on how to resolve this issue. Here are the details:

1. Device Information:

Model: Tecno POVA 6 Pro
Version: LI9 (LI9-H335AB-U-OP-241218V1527)

Android Version: Android 14

ROM: Stock ROM

MT:6833

2. Description of the Issue:

The device is caught in an endless restart loop. I can access fastboot mode, but due to a locked bootloader and OEM options disabled in Developer Options, I’m unable to run "flash" commands.
Recovery Mode is inaccessible because I accidentally corrupted the recovery.img prior to the boot loop.
A specific error message appears: “flash boot.img with signature or disable signature verification” (I have a screenshot available if needed).

3. What Led to This Situation:
I unlocked the bootloader and flashed root using Magisk, which initially worked perfectly. However, after a restart the next day, the device fell into this boot loop, and unexpectedly, the bootloader became locked again.

4. Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
I attempted to use tools like SP Flash Tool, MTK Meta Utility Tool and auth bypassing tools to flash the device.
Unfortunately, due to the locked bootloader, none of these methods have worked. And auth bypassing tools give "MTK auth disable (sla/Daa) error."

5. Additional Information
I’m comfortable using both Windows 10 and a bootable USB with Ubuntu if that could help in any recovery attempts.
Any hardware solutions—such as test points or similar methods—are not viable for me since I have strong software skills but no hardware experience.
I am considering buying unlocktool or hydra tool and test them, but I want to make sure before buying anything.
I haven’t reached out to official technical support because there isn’t any available in Australia.

Thank you in advance for any help or advice you can offer. Any insights into unlocking the bootloader again or ooting into brom would be greatly appreciated. If you could provide any tools (paid or free) that you think they would work, please link them here.

Kind regards,
Aurora

Hey Aurora000
Maybe the unlock process wasn't good but don't worry. You are still in luck.
Since it uses MediaTek
You can still erase/write/read partitions using MTK Client (Or also using SP flash tool with MTK Client)

Thanks for your suggestion. fortunately, I do still have the files. However, I can't go into BROM mode, so i didn't try mtk client yet. I can boot into preloader mode though. Would that help?

Are you sure that you can't go to brom mode? You have to try different combinations for it
Also sometimes preloader is enough if your device isn't protected by DA, Auth etc

So try out more key combinations (To check if you are in brom mode, the device won't boot up if you hold the power button for 5 seconds. if it doesn't, you are in brom mode

I tried booting into brom for 3h and tried every combination possible multiple times. But the phone keeps rebooting every 5 seconds (the picture i uploaded in the original post).
As for preloader, it is protected by DA. I tried every free software available to bypass that, but they all failed. I am still going to try mtk client anyway though.

One last thing, do you think paid tools like unlocktool would work. I am thinking of borrowing one for $30. It is better than paying Sydney's services that request around $200 to fix the issue.

Even paid tools may not work. Because the device is not in a common issue state. It's something caused by unauthorized user (in this case YOU).
Also the picture says to disable the verification. Did you disable it?
Also I want you to try and hold the power button for 10s .
I think mtk client can and will bypass DA. Smile

Models like this would've patched getting into BROM with a button combo, so you either do that with test point or use paid tools that have the DA (preloader method)
