How do I install a custom ROM on a custom Unisoc device made by Phonemax?

I am seeking help once again. I have a custom Unisoc device made by Phonemax (a Chinese manufacturer). As far as I know, the only way to install an OS on this type of device is through the UpgradeDownload tool, and the OS needs to be in .PAC format.
What I need is to find and install a custom open-source ROM like GrapheneOS or LineageOS. It needs to be open-source because I want to make some modifications to it. My question is: how can I install a custom ROM on this type of device?
If you can walk me through the process or share some steps or useful links, I would greatly appreciate it.
