This guide provides step-by-step instructions for enabling Huawei Debug Bridge (HDB) connection on your Huawei device. This is crucial for connecting your phone to HiSuite on your computer.
Requirements
A Huawei smartphone
EMUI 9.0 or later
Steps enable Huawei Debug Bridge (HDB)
Open the Settings app on your Huawei smartphone.
Scroll down and tap on "Security".
Tap on "More settings".
Look for the option "Allow connection via HDB" or "HDB".
Tap the toggle switch next to "Allow connection via HDB" to turn it on.
Enter phone password if asked
Exit the Settings app. Your Huawei smartphone is now ready to allow HDB connections.
Important Notice
HDB (Huawei Debug Bridge) is different from USB Debugging. HDB is specific to Huawei devices and is used for connecting to Huawei tools like HiSuite.
Some Huawei models may have slightly different menu names or locations. If you can't find the option, use the search function in Settings and look for "HDB".
When connecting to HiSuite or other Huawei tools for the first time, you'll need to authorize the connection on your phone when prompted.
HDB is typically only available on Huawei devices running EMUI 9.0 or later. Older versions may not have this option.
