This guide will show you how to install LineageOS, a popular custom ROM, on your Google Pixel smartphone.

Get the latest LineageOS files for your Pixel from the official LineageOS site.
Extract the Google-platform-tools.zip and move the LineageOS files into that folder.
Open a Command Prompt in the folder.
Power off the device, press and hold the Volume Down + Power button simultaneously, and Release when the bootloader screen appears
Connect your Pixel to your PC using a USB cable.

Flash the necessary partitions to make recovery boot, use the command:
Code:

fastboot devices fastboot flash boot boot.img fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img
Install LineageOS Recovery using the command:
Code:

fastboot flash vendor_boot vendor_boot.img
Reboot to LineageOS recovery
In recovery, Factory reset to remove encryption.
Tap on "Apply update" > "Apply from ADB"
Connect your Pixel to your PC using a USB cable.
Sideload LineageOS using the command:
Code:

adb devicesadb sideload lineageos_name.zip
Reboot system

Flash the necessary partition to make the recovery work properly, use the commands:
Code:

Fastboot devices fastboot flash boot boot.img fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img fastboot flash vendor_kernel_boot vendor_kernel_boot.img
Install LineageOS Recovery using the command:
Code:

fastboot flash vendor_boot vendor_boot.img
Reboot to LineageOS recovery
In recovery, Factory reset to remove encryption.
Tap on "Apply update" > "Apply from ADB"
Connect your Pixel to your PC using a USB cable.
Sideload LineageOS using the command:
Code:

adb devicesadb sideload lineageos_name.zip
Reboot system

Important Notices

If you want to install Google apps, download a compatible GApps package and flash it immediately after LineageOS, before the first boot.
Ensure your device is running the latest firmware before installing LineageOS
Ensure you're using the correct LineageOS build for your specific Pixel model.
Installing a custom ROM will void your warranty and may cause data loss.
Always maintain a full backup of your data before proceeding.
Some features may not work as expected in custom ROMs compared to stock firmware.
Do not lock bootloader after custom ROM installation
