MTK Readback and Write
(17-11-2023, 09:00 PM)Nevin135s I Have a samsung a32 5g that the owner broke the screen to the point where it unusable and you can't see anything on it.
Without the option to replace the screen the owner is hoping i can retrieve all the user data on the device. Long story short... I dumped the entire storage using mtkclient into user.bin then i extracted the bin into all the different partitions so I have both. there was not a screen lock on the device but it is android 13 so I Know the userdata partition is encrypted. the phone was not rooted nor was the bootloader unlocked. and I Flashed the wrong firmware versions recovery/boot partition so now its telling me to factory reset because the storage is corrupted.
My question is, is there a way to unlock the bootloader without wiping data, and/or can i factory reset the device then write back all partitions from dump and be able to use the phone as was now that I have a screen replacement? I feel like this might work since the owner did NOT have a screen lock, but I want to be sure before I wipe the device
