Hello,
I have an Infinix Hot Note x551 (16GB + 2GB RAM). I attempted to upgrade it from the base android 4.4.2 to android Lollipop by flashing this firmware "X551-G808-BC-L-20160722", however, for some unknown reason during that process, the flashing was interrupted (the USB and the connection should have been stable, as far as I could tell). Following that, the device was completely bricked. It would not turn on, no charging screen, and undetectable by my PC.

Reading further into it, I discovered that I could activate META mode in hopes of restoring it by taking out the in-built battery and holding the volume up button before connecting the USB. I have attempted that, and now, the phone can be detected... however, I still seem to be unable to flash the device, as it gets stuck on "Downloading DA (100%)" for 15 seconds then I get the following error:
"S_FT_DA_NO_RESPONSE (4001). DA didn't send response data to FlashTool!"
I've tried restarting my laptop, changing the port and changing the cable, however, none of these options have succeeded...

I would greatly greatly appreciate any help.
Thank you in advance!~

Flash only preloader at first and u need to use the bypass even if no secure
If no success use mtkclient on Ubuntu to flash preloader and boot before turning to spflashtools

Hello,
Thank you very much for your response~

It seems I am still unable to flash just the preloader. The same error occurs. I've attempted to bypass the authorization, however, it seems that it already does not require it?
What I do find strange is that the device "switches" ports from one port to another after a short time... I assume this is the device exiting meta mode? Beyond that point, SP Flash Tool is unable to detect the COM port.

I will try switching to Ubuntu and give mtkclient a shot. Thanks for the suggestion~
