I lost my imei on begonia (redmi note 8 pro). I have installed the cdc drivers on the guides here correctly, however I can't get past "getting kernel port". I've tried uart, usb, DUT in META mode but nothing really happens. Also my device will not pop up on the device manager in meta mode. Manually selecting the installed drivers as uart/usb devices won't help either. using latest modem META, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Confirm that you have valid baseband

I've got the same problem, Modem Meta stucking at get kernel portcom.. I have restored my IMEI1 and 2 with the simple flashable script from Tim Josten MTK IMEI Patcher without any box, dongle or complicate software. Just insert your phone requested values, generate the zip file and then flash it in recovery. Nothing easier als that. Unbeleaveble but works like a charm

How did you lose IMEI? Do you have a valid baseband?
