Hi everyone, a friend of mine gave me a samsung s7 that no longer turns on after an update.
Now it gives me an error that the update failed and that I have to use the function on the smart switch pc.
The problem is that smart switch does not support the device.
I tried to flash the latest Italian stock ROM on this device which is branded TIM and does not work.
I also tried to install the latest TIM version and it doesn't work.
I tried to install the ROM version before the update and it doesn't work.
During the flash with odin it remains on param.bin and does not go ahead.
Would anyone know how to fix?

Thanks in advance and have a nice day!

Its possible that NAND is damaged. Did your friend give more info about how the phone was acting before update? was it lagging or crashing? how was it updated too?

He didn't tell me anything else, I just know that he quietly updated with an OTA from the settings

Sounds pretty much like nand. Had he rooted or unlocked bootloader before the update?

P.S: I noticed that even wiping data from stock recovery becomes a slow process and almost seems to freeze. But if the NAND is corrupt I think that the recovery should not start as it should be impossible to read

Some corruptions allow you to read but not write
