Hi, I'm trying to flash TWRP image made with Hovatek auto porter onto INOI 2 Lite 2021 (sp7731e). When download process gets to recovery.img, it fills progress bar, hangs there for a few seconds, then aborts with "downloading failed: wait input time out".
I also tried flashing blank vbmeta, it hangs on this file then fails as well. Any original files are getting flashed correctly. If I flash my stock .pac without any modifications, all goes well. ResearchDownload/UpgradeDownload tools are also of their latest versions.
What could be wrong?

Both guides mention that I need to have bootloader unlocked. I can't unlock it due to lack of OEM's private key

Unlocked bootloader is not that necessary, I have rooted two Unisoc devices with locked bootloader, but the OEM key is necessary, if rsa4096_vbmeta.pem doesn't work to sign boot, recovery and vbmeta, I think you won't get any further, the OEM key will certainly not be provided by the manufacturer.

I think this would only apply for brands that signed images using the generic keys. Could you share the models?

Of course, provided that the manufacturer uses generic keys.

My tablet devices:
1) iGET SMART L203 / Unisoc SC9863A
2) iGET SMART L206 / Unisoc UMS512_Tiger T610
No need for an unlocked bootloader.
