This message is to share my failed attempts (4 days of work!!) in trying to make a full memory dump (to recover deleted files) of a Huawei Y6 II 2019 MRD-LX1
Android 9.1 (SDK28)
The phone is factory rooted, with bootloader locked and it seems many more other securities.
mtk-su doesn't work (this method) tried also this method
Kingoroot doesn't work
SP Flash tool didn't work :
It detects and initiates connection but nearly instantly fails with error STATUS_BROM_CMD_STARTCMD_FAIL
I tried many versions of SP Flash tool and tried to update drivers, etc... I tried on Linux Ubuntu, and windows 10, same errors.
I tried with various DA files and scatter files found on internet for my phone, but failure..
I suppose the BROM mode is protected in some ways.
I called Huawei customer services on the phone (France) and told that I would be willing to pay a tech center intervention on my phone to have a full dump of the memory, but they told that they are not offering such service.
So if you delete your files on this phone that you cannot get rooted, you will never be able to get them back !!!!
