Hi, sadly my son (16yrs) passed away recently in an accident. I am trying to get every pictures and videos from his Samsung A12 to treasure every moment of his short life. The phone is locked and the remote unlock is turned off, so we cannot use the find my phone option. This is very important to me, I am willing to do anything to access those little parts of his life. We contacted Samsung and they said they cannot help us (which is extremely sad). Please help me. Thank you

Sorry for your loss.
Its very unlikely you'll be able to recover data due to the data encryption expected on this model
Is it a pattern / PIN lock? Have you been able to regain access to his email account?

thank you for your response. Yes, it's a PIN lock. and yes, I was able to regain access to his email account but the backup is not working and stopped several months ago. Do you have any other suggestions pls?

Unless find my phone was enabled, its down to getting the phone into BROM and extracting userdata (using hardware tools) but encryption still makes it very difficult to extract info from userdata.
Another approach is to unlock bootloader (MTK Client or preferably any method that doesn't wipe userdata) then flash TWRP and try to access its contents via TWRP
Chances are pretty slim here

Thanks again for your feedback. I am very unfamiliar with the approaches you suggested, MTK and TWRP. Is it something I could try by myself without messing up everything? If not, are you able to assist further? Thanks again

Its just a theory and is quite unlikely to work
