I recently saw the tutorial on how to dump entire ROM using the MTK client and it worked flawlessly and it was the only method that actually worked for my Infinix S5 , so the dump was complete but , the files were in .bin format and SP flash tool only supports .img flashing ... so how can I flash these .bin files or If I cant, How do I convert the files in .img format because my phone mostly only flashed using SP Flash tool ..and other tools like Miracle box don't properly detect my device and therefore are useless . I really need my recovery.img file since I want to create TWRP from it but am stuck because of this , so please let me know if there are any solutions for this .

Thanks in advanced !

Since you want to port TWRP using the recovery.img, you can also use the recovery.bin you backed up

Actually, while I do need to create a TWRP port of the recovery , I also need a backup as an .img file for future purposes as a safe point to revert back to for SP Flash tool or fastboot alike ..

So it there is any way to convert the .bin file to .img .. it would be great !

Either flash using mtk client @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-40866.html
Or make an SP flashtool flashable backup using wwr tools

I'll check the links you sent .. didn't know you could flash using mtk client ! If I can that basically means , I can flash .bin files ! That would pretty much solve my problem !

The extension doesn't matter, just rename .bin to .img for those that should be in .img format (for sp flash tool)

Renaming the partitions u want will do the magic if u want to flash with spflashtool
Or you can flash the bin file using mtkclient by running

python3 mtk w recovery recovery.bin
