My Alcatel 5's screen and touch has died so I can't unlock the phone to be able to recover data from it. Is there any alternative for recovering data? I've tried backing up the user data to SD card which worked but is seemingly impossible to extract. Tried the 512 skip ext4 method and didn't work. Any help would be highly appreciated.

There is only if u enable USB debugging and u change USB to file transfer on developer options.
The great software will help u recover it

So if I didn't have usb debugging on, it is impossible to recover without fixing the screen?

How did you backup the data to SD card?

using recovery mode (backup userdata to SD card option), I can barely see part of the screen so I was able to select that option

If u can also see mtp on recovery mode ,u have 90 % success rate
By going to mount then the last column is enable mtp
The your storage will show on your PC .if not showing the update the mtp icon on device manager

If I connect the phone to my pc, I can see "MTP USB Device" in Windows' Device Manager. Options in recovery mode are "mount /system" and "enable adb something" (I can't see). None make any difference to MTP showing in Windows' explorer or not. Any tips?

When I do that it just says "The best drivers for your deviceĀ are already installed" (MTP USB Device).

Still doesn't mount. Stock Recovery Mode doesn't seem to have a way to mount MTP. Any clues?
