hello can i install custom rom on Research Download? like it's hard to unlock the bootloader of Unisoc?

Without an unlocked bootloader, gsi will end up with a bootloop.

One option would be,
Magisk patched boot.img, must be signed and custom, signed vbmeta.img

I think you have, you can try.

Magisk offers to preserve dm-verity before boot.img patching steps in some cases, might work
