Evening. I am looking for a simple guide to root the Teclast M40. The Teclast M40 tablet I got was on version V1.02_20210618. I have looked on XDA, Reddit and Google but there is no guide. Any help would be very much appreciated!

see https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-32678.html as an example ; if you're able to unlock bootloader then in your case, patch and sign boot instead of recovery

Disregard everything I have said, I now have the bootloader unlocked.
