Please, how can I update my Tecno C8 from Android version 5 to Version 6?
I have downloaded both stock ROMs, HiFlashTool-C8-H352-A2-L-20160307.exe (963M) and C8-H352-A2-M-HiOS 20160425.zip (893M) but when I try the update, it tells me the installation have been aborted...What can I do to install it successfully...Thank You...

did you flash the C8-H352-A2-L-20160307 firmware before applying the MM ota update?

Do you mean, I should use the sp flash tool to flash this C8-H352-A2-L-20160307 before applying this (C8-H352-A2-M-HiOS 20160425.zip) OTA update?

that's exactly what i mean
another method to update would be to download and flash the firmware for C8-H352-A2-M-HiOS 20160425 @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-19278.html ; flash using SP flash tool, that'll get you directly upto MM
things to note, ensure that your device is running the C8-H352-A2 build and ensure to take a firmware backup before updating

Thank You for the update, the point was, I downloaded both firmware (C8-H352-A2-M-HiOS 20160425 and C8-H352-A2-L-20160307) from this URL ( https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B5Y2uVMgv...t=download) and this url ( https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B5Y2uVMgv...t=download), before coming here to open the thread.
It came with its own flashing tool so I used it to downgrade it. Am now going to use the SP flash tool to flash the next firmware (C8-H352-A2-M-HiOS 20160425).
I have deleted the one I downloaded myself and used your own but am getting a ROM[logo] checksum mismatch: checksum_config[0xba37], checksum_val[0xbb36].
I will keep you updated if I get through...
Thank you...
I used this thread ( https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-439.html) to resolve it but still has the same error message. I changed this [0xba37] to [0xbb36] but still same error. I deleted the checksum file but same error.

you can try generating a new checksum @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-23301.html
or flash the firmware using miracle box @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-14106.html

The checksum generator did not work, it gave an error message that it cannot find the scatter file so I deleted all the folders and extracted the firmware again, deleted the checksum file, and boom it picked.
Am trying the process again. I will keep You updated.
Finished with the format.
Am now using android version 6.0 on my Tecno C8 but restarting issues pop up

I did nothing, after it finished flashing, i removed the cable and switched it on, that's all.
I downgraded it again and flash it again but still, restarting.
