Hello sir,thanks for your good jobs and learning. I'm writing about this post "How to use modem meta to write IMEI to Mediatek devices"
I do all steps as you taught but when I clicked on Write IMEI I get this error :
Write IMEI to target failed
My device is:
Xiaomi Mi Play MT6757 Android 8.1 unlocked bootloader
I try both Load database from Target and from file but not change. I don't have Db files Just access from maui meta mode when using read option in IMEI edit section.
Windows 10 Pro
Please help me.

Do you mean first Flashing ENG ROM then use this method same, right?

I did all the steps correctly and Write IMEI to sim 2 and Meta mode software said Write successfully even after writing I tested again via "Read" button and show me changed IMEI but after restarting phone when I checked IMEI in System>about>Status>IMEI information the previous IMEI code was still there and had not changed(I used engineering ROM all the time doing this and even after the restart).
please help and guide me to do it.

No , everything is Ok, original IMEI and baseband are displayed and dont change.
I have not deleted nvram and nvdata yet.

that's sure to break your imei, be sure to take a backup first before attempting it

The engineering ROM is still on the phone and the IMEI code, serial and original baseband are still displayed.

backup nvram + nvdata
format nvram + nvdata
check if imei is broken or not
if broken then write back imei, sn
