Qualcomm diagnostic mode without root

I flashed my wife's gionee s10lite but lost imei after flashing, right now I can't root the phone and I can see that it cannot boot into diagnostic mode without root, I have tried everything regarding unlocking the bootloader but no success, pls I need your help @hovatek regarding root, unlocking bootloader and booting into diagnostic mode

diag mode, you can try this
Settings > Developer option > Enable USB Debugging & OEM lock
Scroll down till you find Media > Ethernet
Connect your device to the PC and check device manager if it's now detected
be sure to install qualcomm diag drivers @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-22399.html

The baseboard was hidden even before the flashing just like most Chinese phones.. I will try these steps when I get home. Thanks

don't confuse the terms, you're not booting into diag mode (i.e if you're expecting the device to reboot into some hidden mode), you're just enabling diag port
if you tried the method, did you get upto media > ethernet?
