So I have a MTK device (MT6580), it's bricked and I got a stock ROM from Get droid tips. So I plug in the scatter file and it's all okay, the bar turns red then purple and then it gives me an error : ("BROM ERROR: ?? (3)"). A quick search said
"There's a problem with the format of the scatter file or file(s) being flashed. An example is trying to flash .bin files using SP Flash Tool"
and the solution is :
"Check the scatter file and files you're about flashing to be sure they're not meant to be flashed using a different tool"

I DON'T BELIVE THIS IS THE ACTUAL FIRMWARE FOR MY DEVICE!

Thank you for the reply. This link is actually the same files in the google drive!
I selected the .txt file using SP flash tool, and afterwards the line turned red and gave me the error (5054)
Which means the load is wrong.

UPDATE: I removed "boundary_check: true" and turned it to "boundary_check: false"
The bar turned purple and gave me the error ?? (3), the solution was to :

open the scatter file and check if the config_version is 1.1.1
if yes, then flash using miracle @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-14106.html
and you might want to first make a firmware backup of your current rom before you after firmware you aren't 100% sure. you can backup using the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-13347.html

However I have a question about backing up the firmware of my device.
My phone is completely hard bricked, and I mean HARD BRICKED. The device doesn't turn on, the only reason I know the device is still alive is because it windows still recognizes it as "MT65xx" and SP flash tool too. But how am I supposed to back up the firmware if it doesn't have firmware?

how did it get hard bricked? you formatted everything from the phone? if yes then no point making a backup now
if you didn't format everything off the phone, then backup should work regardless, you might need to disconnect / reconnect the battery of the device if you get connection issues when attempting backup

Hello thank you for your constant help, I really appreciate it. However I am facing some difficulty with miracle box.
When I downloaded miracle box 2.27a everything was going smooth, but the start button was disabled. So I followed the steps ( the one where you change your clock and the one where you move it to program files and place a hovatek.exe patch) however non of them work! Miracle box starts up and pauses on "checking version" then it crashes with a ton of gibberish in the console. I tried downloading drivers and tried searching for a solution but nothing has worked.
